Shannon Benshoff, Associate Pastor
Meet the Benshoffs

Pastor Shannon is a well established Waynesborian, living in Waynesboro, Pa. nearly all of his life. He holds a Master in mischief and has many years of rebellious living in his background.

Shannon grew up in a broken home and had many male role models who were drug dealers or alcoholics. He began using drugs and alcohol at a very early age eventually becoming a main source of illegal substances for many drug users in the area.

When Shannon was partly through his second year of tenth grade, the Principle made a visit to his home asking his mom to consider signing him out of school permanently. Shannon never went back. It wasn't until after Shannon became a Christian in 1998 that he sought to earn his G.E.D. Since becoming a Christian, Shannon has become an entirely new person. Unlike before, he now pursues furthering his education and has devoted his life to service in ministry.

Shannon's mentor, Doug Miller, a former Associate Pastor at FABIC and present Missionary to the Yao people in Malawi, Africa, invested generously in Shannon, training and equipping him and involving him in ministry immediately following his conversion. Shannon has experienced a practical, hands-on, in-the-field type of training but has also applied what he has learned from attending seminars and training encounters on subjects such as small groups, prayer counseling, evangelism, worship, marriage, parenting, etc.

Shannon and his wife, Michelle, have four children, Luke, Christa, Samuel, and True. Michelle, a former Research Analyst, gives her time to home schooling their children and to ministry alongside her husband. Michelle has a B.A. degree in English Writing and has been a competitive runner since high school.

Together, Shannon and Michelle stand amazed at how God has changed their lives and how He has given them meaning, purpose, and direction in life.
